She has a Master's degree in history from McGill University with an honors thesis on depictions of the Irish by artists and illustrators during the Great Famine Era.  Lin has attended multiple painting courses throughout New England and has studied with a variety of exceptional painters including Maddine Insalaco and Joe Vinson of New York City and Italy; Karen Winslow and Andrew Orr in Vermont; Kenneth DeWaard in Maine,  and has found the encouragement and teaching of David P. Curtis of Gloucester, Massachusetts invaluable to her work.
A long-standing member of the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, Lin resides in Barton, Vermont and the Cayman Islands with her husband. Linda is represented by the Kennedy Gallery, Cayman Fine Art on Grand Cayman Island and is an artist member of the Bryan Memorial Gallery in Jeffersonville, Vermont.   Over the past few years, her work has been exhibited in juried shows in both the Bryan Memorial Gallery in Vermont and in Massachusetts at the Rockport Art Association and Museum.  Linda's paintings are shown annually at the Kennedy Gallery on Grand Cayman in the British West Indies.
**Off Limits in the Time of Corona was purchased for reproduction for the Ritz Carleton on Grand Cayman as part of a major redecoration during the 2020-2022 Covid Pandemic.   The painting was first exhibited on an Online Exhibition arranged by the National Gallery of the Cayman Islands, entitled Art Under Lockdown, which ran from 15 June - 15 October, 2020.
