 Artist Statement

I am a contemporary  mixed media artist.  My abstracts most often depict the incredible beauty and often the simplicity of nature, and are full of textures and vibrant colors.  Skys, mountains, oceans, canyons, trees, and rocks all inspire me and get my create juices flowing. My goal is to create paintings that offer the “feeling” of nature rather than a realistic copy.  I love the fact that abstract art provides the viewer the opportunity to use their imagination and participate in the creative process as they view my art.
