An example of fine art by Lee Muslin

Throughout my life I have enjoyed creating many different types of art and have gone through many transitions. At the University of Delaware, I studied printmaking, painting, photography and drawing and especially loved figure drawing. When I moved to New York City, I had limitations of space so photography became my main means of expression. Eventually I returned to school at Parsons School of Design to receive a degree in Photography. It was during this course of study that I discovered the powers of Photoshop. Using the computer as my paintbrush, I created photomontages which over time became more painterly and abstract. After returning to Pennsylvania, I had the space for a proper art studio and began creating hand-made collages that then progressed to my current gestural, abstract paintings. In order to create larger work, I eventually rented a studio outside my home. My artful journey has come full circle. Each transition has informed the next. But now, by painting intuitively, all the experiences of my life are expressed through the paint and onto the canvas.
