Artist Laurie Agnew

An example of fine art by Laurie Agnew

As a child I loved art, drawing and creating beautiful pictures. Although academics and life choices took precedence over art, the creative urge was always there. While raising a family and pursuing a career in law enforcement,  I participated in various art adventures. After retiring in 2009, I began devoting myself to the creative process by attending workshops, art classes, and learning various artists' techniques.
My passion and creative interests encompass watercolors, oils and pastels. Combining these disciplines, I portray animal portraits, still life, landscapes, abstracts and whimsical animal characters under the the theme, "A Little Birdie Told Me". These fun delightful watercolor creatures can be found as greeting cards and small framed paintings.
The art community is a wonderful, educational, expressive and sharing place for artists, art lovers and all participants. I am  fortunate to be in the company of so many talented people and wish to share this passion with you.

My artwork can be found at the Artsy Fartsy Art Gallery in Carson City, Nevada.  Additionally, I display my work at the Nevada Artist Association's gallery, Carson City, Nevada, where one of my pastels recently took 2nd place. I invite you to stop in and explore these wonderful galleries.
