LANE BAXTER is a consummate performer. She is a Dramatic Soprano
whose repertoire focused on the Wagner and Strauss compositions and
the heavier more dramatic  Operas such as Turandot, Otello, Macbeth
and Elektra .  She launched  her  solo career in Europe performing the lead
role of Santuzza in Cavalleria Rusticana.  
Ms. Baxter was honored by the Governor of Tennessee at a gala at the
Governor's Mansion and awarded a "Certificate for "Honorary Citizen of
the State of Tennessee" by Governor Ned McWherter.  
She is a seasoned international artist having performed in France, Taiwan,
Germany, Italy, England, China and the U.S. and a year scheduled 
performance tour in the Far East. Her performances included  New Gallery 
Center London, participation  in Master studies with Luciano Pavarotti and has
performed in concert celebrating the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II.   
Ms. Baxter began her studies at the University of Nevada, Reno and with
Nevada Opera. She later continued her private training at Stanford University
under the personal direction of internationally known Indiana University School
of Music Professor, Vera Scammon, and later followed Mrs. Scammon to Indiana
University for private and Master Study.  Her trainers included the late San
Francisco Bass-Baritone David Tigner and Soprano Maria Martino in Los Angeles. 
 She has also coached with Metropolitan Opera Director, Jonathan Khuner in the
Wagnerian and Strauss Repertoire.  Ms. Baxter is a recorded artist with recordings
of "I Can See" Spiritual Collection, recorded at RCA, "Symphony to Christmas",
recorded with Dolly Parton's Album of the Year Two Rivers Choir and the Nashville
Symphony, Maestro Russell Stanger Conducting, "Lane Baxter Sings Verdi" and "Lane Baxter Puccini/Verdi Favorites." with Taipai Taiwan Symphony. Ms. Baxter has been
awarded 8 gold records and 4 platinum records in Asia.
Lane has worked with California Opera Association as Assistant Stage Director with
New York's Michael Phillip Davis, world renown Director, singer and the son of
International Diva Regina Resnik. She was an invited guest speaker at Vanderbilt
University with multiple Grammy winner H.B. Barnum and Maestro Russell Stanger,
Associate Conductor with the late Leonard Bernstein in New York..  
She trained for three years with international renown Diva, Edna Garabedian.
