Biography

Kyle Keith's love of painting began in the fields and backroads of Ohio. As a young teen, he first studied under the instruction of Leland McLelland, a regional watercolor artist. Keith later earned his M.F.A. from the New York Academy of Art in 2001 and studied under the painter Everett Raymond Kinstler and Brooklyn artist and teacher Andrew Reiss.

An award winning artist, Keith's work is held in important public and private collections including the United States Court of International Trade, The United States Federal Court for the Eastern District of New York, The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College and the Players Club in New York City. Moreover, his work has been exhibited across the United States- including shows in Chicago and New York City.

He accepts private commissions as well as institutional commissions, his subjects ranging from federal judges to university officials to families. If the client's schedule allows, Kyle Keith prefers to work largely from life in order to achieve the most vibrant portrait.

Keith recently concluded a fourteen-year term as a professor of painting and drawing at the University of North Florida. He currently
resides in Ohio with his wife, Sara, and their children. Kyle is represented nationally and internationally by Portraits, Inc., Lori Polson Portrait Specialists and Jean Daniel Portraiture.
