Kristin Ashman developed strong creative instincts at an early age, influenced by generations of artists, writers and communicators in her family line, including her mother and sisters who are accomplished artists and creatives.As a child, she wrote poetry, stories and often acted in local theater or her own productions. As an adult, her degree in speech & business communication led her into many large corporate environments where she generated creative ideas, encouraged & inspired employees, and even fulfilled her early dream of working in live television.
After a twenty year career in corporate communication, business development and human resources, including almost ten years of working in the Art Licensing industry with her sisters, licensing the artwork of her older sister; the demands of motherhood and the desire to be more present for her family led Kristin to start a home-based creative business, “Found Blessings” an online Etsy-based vintage & handmade shop featuring her mixed media art.   Found Blessings has grown to include a community through Instagram and the inspirational blog, Foundblessings.com.A beautiful surprise came about when creative life as she knew it changed in early 2017, when on a whim, with the encouragement of her parents, (Kristin's mother is a local artist), Kristin took her first fine art painting class. While never having explored this side of her creativity, Kristin fell in love with painting, and communicating (expressing) God’s Glory and Goodness through this new medium.In 2018, Kristin was invited to show her work at a local venue where her work started selling very quickly, as her contemporary, nostalgic impressionistic style resonated with many viewers.  She has expanded her reach with her art now available at a 2nd local venue as well available directly to private collectors. Entering into 2020, Kristin is excited to announce that her art business is branching out into [...]
