Kitty Tidwell Weston is an emerging artist and resides north of Huntsville, Alabama close to the Tennessee state line.  She began her journey into the art world through her love of calligraphy.  Upon an early retirement from federal service, she began taking workshops and painting classes with Impressionist artist, Jennifer Stottle Taylor.  She has also taken workshops with Kay Holt Lewis, Amy Peterson, Dawn Whitelaw, Ingrid Christensen, Dennis Perrin, and John Guernsey. She continues to broaden her skills as an artist through mentoring and workshops with master artists.
Kitty is a member of the Alabama Plein Air Artist group and has helped host events in the Huntsville area.  She volunteers at the Plein Air
South annual conventions held in Port St Joe, Florida.  She is a member of the Huntsville Art Museum Guild as well as Co-Chair of the Art Community Service Project with the GFWC DuMidi Women's Club in Huntsville.  Her art has also been on display at the Huntsville Botanical Gardens Emerging Artists exhibition.
The inspiration for her paintings come from her love of botanicals, nature and her travels. She enjoys living in a rural area where she is surrounded by beautiful landscapes.  She loves painting plein air and has traveled most all of the US states, Europe, and Asia.  Her art is both representational and abstract.
