Biography


Kathryn "Kit" Edwards Dailey was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio.
After graduating from Miami University she taught in the
South-Western City School District.
She married Dan Dailey and they have two sons and four grandchildren.Dan's profession took the family to Athens, Ohio for twenty two years.
Kit substituted in the Athens School District and served on the
Dairy Barn Cultural Art Center board.
Once again Dan's job required a move, this time to Jackson, Ohio.
For many years Kit served on the Southern Hills Arts Council and as
Chairman of the Foothills Arts Festival. She is a signature member of the Ohio Watercolor Society and has served
as vice president of the board.
She and Dan enjoy travel and have visited every state and many countries.

      Lee Fritch, first Watercolor teacher.
Watercolor Workshops at Springmaid Beach, South Carolina:
     Gerald Brommer, Marilyn Hughey Phillis, Carl Dalio, Don Andrews,
Skip Lawrence, Arni Westerman, Polly Hammett, John Salminen, Mark Mehaffey,
Jean Grastrof and Mary Todd Beam.
Other Workshops or classes: 
     Katherine Chang Liu, Alex Powers, Stephen Quiller, Warren Tayler,  
Alvaro Castagnet, Fred Graff, Mike Bailey, Kathleen Connover, Anne Abgott,
Carrey Brown, Chris Leeper and Robbie Laird.
 
Shows and Awards: 
     LIME TREE FARM was accepted into the Transparent Watercolor Society of America  
Exhibition Kenosha, Wisconsin.
     Ten of Kit's paintings have been accepted into the Ohio Watercolor Society Exhibition
and some have won awards and many have traveled through out Ohio for a year.  
The first one was YELLOW ROOFS, followed by, WISHFULL THINKING,
PLAID COW DISEASE,PLEASANT PHEASANT, PURPLE HOUSE, LIME TREE FARM,
THE SWINGER, ONE BUSY FARMER, LOOKING UP,  and  GOLDEN MORNING.
  Many of her paintings have won ribbons at the Ohio State Fair, Foothill Arts Festival,
the Cream of the Crop in Portsmouth, Ohio, the Parkersburg Art Center in WV and
