An example of fine art by Kevin Kohlman

Kevin's love of wildlife and nature is a direct result of the countless hours that he spent hunting, fishing, canoeing, camping, and exploring in North Dakota, where he was born and raised.  The rugged beauty of Theodore Roosevelt National Park made a lasting impression upon him.  Even though his career eventually led him elsewhere, he never lost the love or respect that he grew to have for the great outdoors.
In school, Kevin discovered that he had a talent for both art and music, and he eventually chose to pursue a career in music.  His artistic aspirations were, for the most part, put on hold while he earned a Masters Degree in Music and then went on to a rewarding career as a music teacher and a professional trumpet player.
Then, thanks to a unique gift from his wife - a workshop with remarkable wildlife artist Terry Isaac - Kevin rediscovered his love for creating visual art.  His passion for painting wildlife ultimately led to a career change.
Since making the decision to switch careers from musician to wildlife artist, Kevin has been fortunate enough to have his paintings selected for numerous national exhibits and honors, including the following:

Birds in Art Exhibition at the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum
 National Birds in Art tour
