" I continue to search for a strong meaning to my paintings. I rotate back and forth from stylized realism and total abstraction in search for my personal and distinctive expression.
I am influenced by the abstract expressionists from the New York School including, Jackson Pollock, Willem de Kooning, Robert Motherwell, Mark Rothko, Richard Diebenkorn, Joan Mitchell and Helen Frankenthaler.
My first studies was as an engineering drawing apprentice for two years before I moved into five years of design and fine arts. So, I struggle with thoughts of preciseness and continue to search for the path to expressionism."

I graduated from the University of Cincinnati and the college of Design, Art and Architecture and began my creative life as an Art Director with a fortune 500 company and as a local sidewalk show artist. After a few years I founded an award winning national marketing communications and design firm as Creative Director and President.During those years I continued active in fine arts by teaching and painting with further studies at the University of Cincinnati, The Cincinnati Art Academy at the Art Museum and Artist Magazine. Extensive work shops with Skip Lawrence, Katherine Chang Liu, Alex Powers, Mary Alice Braukman and Carol Frye. I am currently a full time artist, painting from my studio in Sun City Center, Florida and teaching adult contemporary acrylic painting classes at the Art Center Manatee in Bradenton, FL and the Morean Arts Center in St. Petersburg, FL, and performing workshops and demonstrations.Awards and Shows:International Society of Acrylic Painters, 2007, 2009, 2010, 2012Florida Region ISAP, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017International Society of Experimental Artists, 2009, 2010, 2014Suntan Art Center Best of Show, 2007, 2009Solo Shows, 2008, 2010
