Artist Kathleen Casey

An example of fine art by Kathleen Casey

Photo of Kathleen Casey

I love painting birds and animals but I do not limit myself to that. I paint landscapes "En Plein Air" and take commissions from around the world. The mediums I use are watercolor, color-pencil, acrylic and pastels. I also have added Corel Painter and Photoshop CC to my paint box. I greatly enjoy digital restoration of antique photographs and manipulations to make family collages. Living in Texas  means I  paint bluebonnet landscapes of the beautiful hill country located in the central area of our state in the spring.
My beginnings were in architecture. Drawing renderings of homes for Southern Living Magazine and a few other publications through an architecture firm in Houston Texas were I grew up. I managed a gallery in Ellis County Texas for 20 years and taught watercolor and drawing classes for 15 years.
I have a grown daughter and live in North Texas with my husband.
