Kari Skinner is a resident of the Sonoran Desert, living southeast of Sahuarita with her husband, chickens, cats and Welsh Corgi, Quin. Her surroundings inspire her watercolor paintings of desert flowers, sunsets, birds and other wildlife, as well as architecture of Southwest.   Kari, who works mainly with watercolors, has exhibited in galleries in Phoenix and Tubac. She has participated in a number of outdoor art fairs and sold work over the Internet. Kari studied with Paul Kuo and took life drawing classes at Glendale Community College in Glendale, Arizona. She continues to take classes and workshops and is a member of the Southern Arizona Watercolor Guild where she  enters shows and has won the past presidents award of excellence and people's choice award she and a small group of fellow artist participate in weekly  outdoor painting sessions known as En Plein Air
