Karen St Clair is a native Oklahoma artist whose earliest  childhood memories include drawing and painting. Her interest ignited in Jr. High when she began selling her paintings, taking commissions, and designing her own line of glassware.
Her family and her art teacher encouraged her to enter two portfolios, one in Scholastic Art Awards and the other in Young Talent In Oklahoma where she won both prestigious scholarships enabling her to attend the university of her choice. Armed with a BFA in Graphic Design and Advertising from Tulsa University, and encouraged by her mentor, Brad Place, she enjoyed a successful career as an illustrator and art director for several prestigious Tulsa companies. She even got an ADDY for her design work on Profiles in American Art, a PBS series.
Her murals and commissioned paintings can be found in the homes and businesses of many notable collectors. She was invited to be a NatureWorks artist and the February 2020 show was a huge success.
Although her art has benefited greatly from extensive travel in America and abroad with an eye  always searching for new inspiration, her passion remains to be her place of origin, Oklahoma.
An award winning artist in watercolor, soft pastel, acrylic and oil, there will always be a soft spot in her heart for her first love, watercolor.
