Karen attended Purdue University, earning a Computer Information Systems degree and has always been fascinated with arts and crafts. Family trips to National Parks helped forge a love for the outdoors. To capture those memories and to satisfy her creative outlet, Karen was drawn to scrapbooking, photography, sketching, and most recently, watercolor painting.
Karen completed her art training primarily in North Carolina and studied under Richard Siegel, Sterling Edwards, Frank Eber, Andy Evansen and Alicia Farris. Karen's painting style has been greatly influenced by her travels, her teachers, and elements from nature.
Since 1997, Karen has lived in Mint Hill, NC with her husband, Jay, and two rescue dogs, Tosh and Jango.
