Biography

I endeavor to elevate each animal to a place of sacred regard, for that individual creature, and for the wild spaces they inhabit.

There is a presence in an animal's eyes that affects us like nothing else can. They possess both a grounding connection to the earth, as well as a direct link to spirit. While we humans have separated ourselves from this spiritual link, animals embody an innate and infinite wisdom of the lands they inhabit and the communities that share those lands—every single one, from ant to antelope, a testament to the Earth's ever-evolving expression and creativity. I aim to create from the space animals occupy, somewhere in between the physical and the spiritual worlds.

My mission as an artist is to inspire reverence for the natural world, support its wellbeing, and acknowledge the unfathomable intelligence it holds, so that we can put an end to its diminishment and destruction. I want to elevate each animal to a place of sacred regard, for that individual creature, and for the wild spaces they inhabit. Art can help us bridge this gap, reminding us of our connection to the natural world through the eyes of its magnificent creatures. When we create spaces around us that bring the outside in, we reflect the calm, peace, and serenity of the wilderness in our everyday lives.
