Judith was born in Ohio and came to California before her first birthday, settling in the Bay Area with her parents. For as long as she can remember she has marveled at the beauty of California from the beautiful rugged coast to the Sierras and southern deserts.  Throughout childhood she envisioned herself becoming an artist and bringing California’s beauty to life on the canvas.
Judith is essentially a self- taught artist but also has had the pleasure of studying with internationally known artist Anita Wolff.  Recently she has had the opportunity to take workshops from such well known artists as Kim Lordier, Bob Rohm, Gil Dellinger, Maggie Price, Kathleen Dunphy, Terri Ford, Clark Mitchell and Terry Miura.
Judith has won many awards for her pastels some of which are Best of Show, 2008 El Dorado County Fair, 2nd Place at the prestigious KVIE Art auction in 2009 for “Valley View-Yosemite”, 1st Place, Amador County Fair, Professional category for Pastels, 2011 First Place Sierra Pastel Society Exhibition, 1st Place 2012 Placerville Arts Association membership, 1st Place 2014 Pastel Division at Plein Air at the Lost Coast-Shelter Cove, 3rd Place 2017 Mendocino Open Paint Out, Pastel Division, 1st and 2nd Place 2018 Kennedy Gold Mine Paint Out.
Judith was featured in the June 2015 issue of Southwest Art Magazine “The Power of Pastels” with seven other pastel artists.
She is currently showing at Gold Country Artists Gallery in Placerville  You can also find her on Facebook and the web at JudithPerryFineArt.com.
