Judith (who goes by Judi) is a talented and accomplished artist in many mediums, such as oils, watercolors, pen & ink, stained glass,  photography, writing and music.  Judi had her first poem published in Quest Magazine when she was in High School.  She has now authored and illustrated two books of poetry; her first, No Turning Back, (1982) and her new book, "We Are The Branches" Poems, Prayers and Promises, (2009).  She has also written the lyrics to several songs that she co-wrote with different musicians.  Her current work is plein air oils, which she does in the back country areas of San Diego county near her home in a tiny community called Los Tules, in Warner Springs, where she designed and decorated her pueblo-style home.  She also paints in her studio from her own photos.Judi has done other design and decorating projects in the area as well.  She also teaches plein air and studio painting to one or two students at a time in her home.  She designs and sells photo/art cards featuring a combination of her art and photography on them.  Judith discovered her art talent in the third grade when she entered an art contest, and won.  She has studied, since then, with various, prominant artists throughout her life, in watercolor and in oils.  She had her own Graphic and Fine Arts business for a few years before moving on to strictly Fine Art.  She has shown in many juried shows and won top awards, including Best of Show, and in several galleries over 40 years, but is currently focusing on teaching plein air and doing commissioned pieces.  She is a past member of the Watercolor Society, but is now a member of California Art Club and participates in some of their paint-outs and juried shows.  She was inspired and encouraged to pursue oil [...]
