Artist Joy Jennings

An example of fine art by Joy Jennings

Photo of Joy Jennings

My journey into the world of visual art began through my experience as a dancer.  I take what I learned though dance regarding composition, form, and movement, and transpose it to to the canvas as if the process of painting is a dance itself.
After receiving my Master of Arts in French, MATL, I taught French and continued to travel and study in France.  My art was certainly influenced by those years, and I continue to enjoy painting scenes from Paris and the French countryside.  I also love to paint scenes closer to home--especially, New Orleans---the joie de vivre captured in those scenes is reminiscent of my days in France.
