Joyce Stillman-myers is a person with many talents and interests.  Years ago, she was a charter member of what she calls the Women’s Renaissance of Art and she continues producing art, writing, teaching, coaching, learning and loving life to this very day.
After obtaining a degree for anthropology and sociology at NYU, she studied art at the Art Students League and Pratt Institute.
She taught elementary little angels and budding artists in NYC Public Schools until earning her MA in Studio Art.  Then Stillman devoted herself fully to her first love, making art.
She quickly gained recognition as one of the new Super Realist artists exhibiting at the Louis K Meisel Gallery In Soho, NYC.  Her work was shown as far away as the Tolarno gallery in Australia, the Fischer Fine Arts Gallery in London and appeared in many other venues around the world.  She won prestigious awards for her paintings such as the Illustrator’s Award by the Art Directors Guild for her Time Life poster of Christmas Ornaments, the New York State  Caps Award, an Artist’s magazine’s award which featured her Floral painting Anonymity in their annual competition magazine edition
The Museum of Modern Art in NYC included her work in its Card and Gift Collection for many years.  Universities and museums in Australia, Connecticut, Illinois, and Virginia acquired her work.  Other museums included her work in their traveling exhibits across America. 
As visiting associate professor of painting  at Towson University in Maryland she inspired her students and lectured to the public while showing her own work.
When Stillman left the  'New York Art Scene' she  moved to the beauty and peace of a farm in the Finger Lakes region of New York state.  Free from the demands of the commercial fine arts scene, she explored many other styles of painting including: folk art, plein air [...]
