Collectors Say:

I absolutely love the colors and shadows in your work.

Your compositions are stunning!

You capture the awe of a scene.

Dealers Say:

We really love your work!

Its a pleasure to have your work on our walls -- such masterful color and drama!

Other Artists Say:

Your brushwork makes the paintings so alive!

Jolyn's strongest work really evokes a sense of the atmosphere of a place.

You are one of my favorite painters!

Colors and impressionist style looks something like a late Remington work.

Your paintings capture essence, mood, and in the example of Southern Baja (because I know it well), the unique and fantastic lighting.

Im a daily painter who learned through dabbling for many years -- as well as through formal training -- that painting well requires consistent attention to make progress. Now, twenty years later and scores of workshops past, I sometimes enjoy looking at what Ive produced. Its a good thing that artists so love planning, drawing, color mixing, laying loaded brushes to a surface and making various brush marks or wed never stick it through. Ive always been drawn to various types of impressionism, expressionism and texture and, although I still get sidetracked towards realism at times, I believe that my most interesting work is produced when I focus on trying to capture the spirit of nature through emotional expression.
