Mr. Hart received his M. A. in Portrait Paining and Art History at the University of Notre Dame.
Previously he had been awarded a Gold Key for his water colors by  Scholastic Magazine/State of Indiana.
That  same year he was awarded an Art  Scholarchip to John Herron Art Inistitute in Indianapolis.
At Notre Dame he taught water color techniques and basic drawing while working on his Art Fellowship.
After receiving his MA Hart became the Set Designer at the University's Washington Hall.
He was selected to be assistant to Montressori for Carlo Menotti's Spoleto Festival
In NYC at Art Students League John  studied Figure Painting, Sculpture, and Landscape.
In Paris, John was chosen as a finalist in the AMERICAN ARTISTS IN PARIS  Exhibit at the Concode Lafayette Galleries.
 His silk screened Wall Covering Design, LINCOLN CENTER, was included in the exhibit, DESIGN FOR HOME AND INDUSTRY
at the Louvre.
He recently received his 20 year pin at NYU's/ SPS, having taught Portrait Photography, Interior Design, and Storyboarding for Film.
Hart is the author of the best seller, THE ART OF THE STORYBOARD, A Filmmakers Introduction,  ( Taylor and Francis Publ ) --
--- ( Amazon.com ),  which has been translated into  Spanish and Chinese. 
He is presently teaching basic drawing and water color privately at Hart Studio / NYC.
