Photo of Jody Crow

Jody Crow paints predominately landscapes and figures using oils or pastels.  She spent many years taking workshops all over the country from many well-known artists, including Scott Christensen, whose philosophy of preparing, practicing and painting at the highest level inspired her.  She studied under artists such Marc Hanson, John Cosby, Frank Serrano, Timothy Horn, Mark Boedges, and Kathleen Dunphy.  She enjoys painting en plein air as she feels she is able to engage many of her senses when painting on location.  Jody has had her works juried into such shows as the 5th Annual Plein Air Salon June/July Show, Akron Society of Artists Members Show, the Best of Ohio Plein Air Society 2017, the Ohio Plein Air Society Parks en Plein Air Show, along with the Bryan Memorial Gallery Traveling Artist Show in Jeffersonville, VT and the Land and Light and Water and Air exhibition also at the Bryan Memorial Gallery.  She took 2nd place in the Crooked River Plein Air Competition with her painting "Cascades."  Jody is a Signature member of Akron Society of Artist.  She belongs to Ohio Plein Air Society and Oil Painters of America.
