Artist Biography: Jim Springett- Wildlife PainterBy: Jim SpringettDate: 01/08/2021Why I paint birds?:

"As they go so go we." After studying birds all my life, they are very much affected by man's human process. They do not have a way to speak our language but bird behavior is very similar to ours. They court their mate, mate, raise their young safely, migrate long distances in winter migration, then return the next spring to begin the new rebirth process all over again. I paint them sharing many of their unique behaviors so that you too might see the wonder and joy. My hope is to save our birds, their habitat so that our children's children can see this bird behavior and know, too, just how very special all our feathered friends are.

Where do I work?

I  paint the birds, especially ducks, of Crex Meadows, Grantsburg, WI, Rice Lake National Wildlife Refuge, Sherburne NWR in my art studio in Webster,WI, and Theodore Roosevelt National Park.
