Biography

I enjoy the spontaneity and challenge of watercolor painting. Every new painting teaches the artist more about values, color, techniques and creativity. Atmosphere, emotion and feeling are also important to me; and I put my heart and soul into my paintings.

I am a Colorado native and an award-winning watercolorist. I paint from my own photos taken in Colorado, New Mexico and in other travel locations around the world, including Belgium, Canada, China, Croatia, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, The Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.

My artwork is on exhibited at The Marble Gallery in Marble, CO; and in local, regional, national and international exhibits. My painting, Enlightenment, was accepted in the Pike's Peak International Watermedia Exhibition in Colorado Springs, CO in April, 2019.

Two of my paintings, Caryatids of the Acropolis and West of Grand Junction, were selected for the 2019 Louisville Art Association National Fine Art and Photography Show. West of Grand Junction received a Artistic Achievement Award from juror, Desmond O'Hagan. West of Grand Junction will also be exhibited at WCWS Rocky Mountain National in March, 2020.

My painting, Biker, was selected for the Rocky Mountain National Watermedia Exhibition at Center of the Arts Evergreen from September 13 to October 28.

I am the President of the Arvada Fine Arts Guild; a signature member of the Colorado Watercolor Society, the Western Colorado Watercolor Society and the Western Federation of Watercolor Societies. I am a member of  Foothills Art Center and North Metro Arts Alliance.

I teach watercolor classes in my home studio, and can be contacted at 303-403-1047 or at [email protected]
