Biography

Born in Wisconsin and raised on a multi-generational dairy farm, Jane Seavers is now a New Mexico-based oil painter of landscapes in an impressionist style.  She was formally educated at the University of Wisconsin and the University of California, San Diego.  She has been influenced by living and working as a nurse practitioner and nurse-midwife in Alaska, Guatemala, Costa Rica, California, and New Mexico.

She spent 3 summers painting in France and studying composition with Ian Roberts.  She then participated in a one year course of study with Ian Roberts called “Mastering Composition” online and through Zoom.
