I grew up amidst the vibrant colors and traditions of a small pueblo outside of Morelia, Mexico.  The famous artisan communities that surround my hometown exposed me to some of the world’s most amazing handcrafted creations – arts and crafts that are colorful, intricate, unique and full of local pride.  I enjoyed the art around me,  but I never dreamed that one day I would be creating art myself. 
In the 1990’s I met an American boy while he was traveling near my hometown. We fell in love, we married and when the time came to start a family, we settled in San Diego, California. I spent the following years at home raising our two amazing daughters and eventually, looking for an activity besides volunteering in their classrooms, I signed up for a weekly "Painting for Adults" class at my local Parks and Rec center. There, I discovered a hobby that would soon become an enduring passion. Now, I paint from my studio at home and I'm happily sharing it with the world.
In sunny San Diego, there is no shortage of art related events and opportunities for community involvement. I am proud to participate in fine art festivals around the city, including the ArtWalk Liberty Station and ArtWalk Little Italy. I am a member of the South Bayfront Artist Association, Oil Painters of America (OPA), and the National Oil and Acrylic Painters Society (NOAPS).
My purpose is to continue to learn and grow in my craft, to contribute to my community, and to create artwork that speaks to the viewer.
