studioGraphika was started as a means of producing an alternative to the typical Ukrainian Christmas Card. As interest grew in the cards so did a business.

The process used to create the artwork for the greeting cards (Christmas and all occasions) is Block Printing primarily, with the addition of some other card making techniques. With the production of larger Block Prints, the addition of watercolours has alos been incorporated to give each piece a 'life of their own'. This technique has allowed her to experiment as well as develop that which is familiar and essentially produce an 'original' work of art everytime. Recently, Irene has also incorporated digital graphics into her work, both photographic and sketch tablet. This has increased her ability to manipulate and produce.

Irene Demchuk's work reflects her interest in Cultural beginnings and the world in which we live. As many of her earlier themes incorporate her Ukrainian heritage, she plans on other works that can "cross-over" the cultural boundaries and speak to others in a way that brings meaning to them personally.

Besides hanging on the walls of family and friends, her work has been donated to various non-profit organizations for Silent Auctions, and graphics to be used on program covers,   CD covers as well as an artist's directory.
