Biography
Raised in Dothan, Alabama, I found my way to New York City via The School of Visual Arts, where I studied illustration and fine-art painting. Making my way in the world through illustration and various art-related jobs, I decided, about six years ago, to focus on representational painting: mainly landscapes, still lifes and some figures. As a plein-air painter, my studio became the the great pantheon of nature itself. The beauty of a rainy day or the thrill of fading light falling on an open field inspire my paintings to be the best they can.
Painting from life gives my work a convincing believability I would be hard-pressed to capture in the studio. I work very hard to make sure all of my paintings are of the highest professional quality. Take a look at some of my work and let me know what you think.
Till then, look for me...I'll be out there, somewhere, painting away.
