Helen Farson Artist
With love of life, passion for art and a quest for joy, Helen Farson creates impressionist oil paintings that are fresh and instantly appealing. Balancing the beauty of color and the movement of expressive line, she brings her individual style and energy to each canvas. Helen’s paintings are often inspired by surroundings at home, including her own charming Gloriosa Garden, or by travels to Italy and France, where Provence is a favorite location. Wherever she is, however, she is always inspired by seeing through the eyes of an artist, searching for beauty in anticipation of the next painting. Will it be a landscape, a still life, an interior, old world architecture, or perhaps a little slice of life in Provence?
A North Carolina native, Helen received her BA degree from Queens University and continued art studies in the states and abroad.
She has studied painting extensively with nationally recognized artists C.W. Mundy, Lori Putnam, Quang Ho, Alice Williams, Nancy Franke, Connie Winters and Jill Steenhuis, in America and in France. She is a member of Oil Painters of America. Her paintings hang in many private collections and institutions.
Helen says, “In my quest for joy, I am always learning, reaching and exploring along the path of my painting journey. Knowledge allows me to paint more intuitively, with greater joy. It allows me to dance the line between joy and skill on the canvas. In viewing my paintings, may you appreciate the skill, experience the joy, feel the passion, and be inspired in your own life.”
