Hi. Welcome to my art world.
“When the story of my artwork melds with the story of its audience,
                                  then my artwork is complete.”  Gwen 
Gwen’s art passions are realist impressionisms of landscapes, seascapes and human connections. Attending art workshops since 2007, and retiring from primary school teaching in early 2012, Gwen has developed her skills producing soft pastel, acrylic, watercolour and charcoal artworks.
Gwen has been teaching art workshop classes since October 2012.
Past master artists who have influenced Gwen include Degas, Monet, Tom Roberts, McCubbin and Streeton. Present day Australian artists, including Regina Hona, Amanda McLean, Colina Grant, Penelope Gilbert-Ng, Helen Cottle, Martin Coyte, Terry Jarvis, Suzanne Lindhorst, Kate Jenvey and Catherine Hamilton, have influenced Gwen’s knowledge and techniques.  
Highlights of her experiences have been travelling to the Greek Isles on a pastel group tour with Regina Hona in Spring,  2010 and Norfolk Island with Terry Jarvis water colour group in 2016  and Lake Eildon Houseboat Workshop tutored by herself in 2017.
Gwen is a member of Wagga Wagga Art Society, The Pastel Society of Victoria, Australia and The Bright Art Gallery and Cultural Centre. Gwen is a member of the Steering Group for the Henty Creative Gallery.
Gwen’s artwork has been published in the Australian Artist Magazine and Vic Pastel .
Gwen writes a bimonthly Gwen’s Art Newsletter emailed through her website.
2018 – Commended for Equine Action at the Henry Lawson Festival Art Show and Competition.
Between 2011 and 2017 Gwen won numerous awards at the Henty and Kempsey Annual Shows including several Judges Awards, Best in Show and Best Exhibit awards.
Gwen has regularly exhibited in Riverina and Victorian Art Exhibitions such as Bright, Coolamon Up-To-Date, Spirit of the Land Lockhart, Bendigo and Tumut. She exhibited in the It’s All Greek to Me exhibition in Melbourne in 2011.
