An example of fine art by Grace Glover

After spending most of my career in corporate marketing communications (copy writing, content and graphic design) I finally decided it was time to return to what I love most-painting. My subjects range from our beloved family dog, Henry (and other creatures), to portraits, landscapes, seascapes and still life. After being schooled in oil painting, watercolour and life drawing during my studio painting classes, I eventually found my voice with oil.
My formal training consists of a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Sam Houston State University with a minor in graphic design, as well as additional post-graduate studies in printmaking. I have lived in Guadalajara, Mexico studying life drawing, as well as the U.K. where I held directorships in both Design and Marketing in London. While working in London in the mid-nineties I was elected a Fellow of the Institute of Directors  (IOD).
My U.S.-based professional career includes Director of Marketing Communications for a privately-held restaurant and hospitality company, as well as global advertising brand J. Walter Thompson.
My recent work, "Morning Sail, Belize" was awarded third premium at the 2020 State Fair of Texas (seascape oil painting), as well as Honorable Mention for "Desert Breakfast" (portraiture oil painting)
In addition to painting and drawing, my other interests include photography, gardening, blue water sailing, golf and travel.
