Biography
Gina has devoted her entire life to the Arts, both visual and performance. Currently, Gina works from her studio on a daily basis but also does Artist Residencies to K’gari (Fraser Island) which is on her doorstep. She uses both painting and sculpture to deepen the narrative and support the connection to her story. She uses both Charcoal and Oil for it’s flexibility of medium and its ability to allow her to make changes as she expresses her her emotion and empathy on the canvas.
Gina Davey intends to provoke the viewer into critical thought regarding global issues. Her works are statement pieces about humanity.
Gina works from her studio on a daily basis but also does Artist Residencies to K’gari (Fraser Island) which is on her doorstep.
She regularly does portraits, has completed several high profile commissions and her work has been hung in many Galleries and collections to date.
