Biography
My artistic journey began in the sixties. I minored in art and took several art classes from a beloved high school teacher at Plattsburgh High School in upstate New York. He inspired me to begin exploring a variety of art media. I discovered I loved it all. There was potential to go to college and study art-that didn't happen until several years after. Then, After 4 years of Naval service including 2 cruises off the coast of Vietnam, came marriage, children and a very demanding career in the environmental engineering industry. Art had to wait.

Degree in Environmental Science and Water Pollution Control Technology respectively. All this time I had very little time for art. In college I had formal art training and studied art history, drawing and watercolor. In 2013 I retired from the engineering field and quickly found I was bored. I did a few pieces and discovered acrylics. I quickly realized how much I missed creating art work and after a year of working for the non-profit Sustainable Jersey as Energy Director, I retired again and started really getting into the art world.
My studio is at the Art Station, Hightstown, New Jersey. Our family now includes three grandchildren who love to have “art class” when they visit. I’ve been fortunate to show my work at Terhune Orchards Winery in 2016, Competed in the Mercer County Senior Art Show three years [...]
