The Artist Says:

Get better every day and paint what you find interesting, not what is the current rage.

Gary Byrd graduated from Oklahoma State University with Bachelor’s degrees in Biological Science and Advertising.  While originally self-taught, has been a professional artist since 1993.  Gary has studied under several renowned artists including Greg Beecham, John Seerey-Lester, Martin Grelle, Dustin Van Wechel, Chad Poppleton, Charles Dayton and Jim Wilcox.

After a long and successful career in the Energy business, Gary and his wife made the decision to pursue his art on a full-time basis. They implemented a plan to accomplish that goal and in 2012, he began painting full time. He has produced a substantial portfolio of diversified works. He has lived in Oklahoma and Texas. He now resides in New Mexico.
