First and foremost it's all about paint. Expression, identity, a sense of place, mortality and the human condition are the catalysts to create.
Ideally the physical and spiritual world intersect on the picture surface amidst the stay marks, scribble, drips, scratches, cardboard, book leaves and torn fabric.

Abstract painter, Frank Crowley received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Brooklyn College. While living in South Florida for the first part of the twenty first century he has shown his work at many venues including: Gallery Six, Artist’s Eye, ArtServe, Rossetti Fine Art and the Museum of Art Fort Lauderdale.
Crowley received a CIP individual artist grant through the Broward County Cultural Council to curate the fourth annual ‘’Doing Business As…Artist Entrepreneurs Exhibition’’ (DBA 2012). The exhibition  was deemed a critical success. During this same period he completed a mural at Susan B. Anthony Women’s Residence Center in Pembroke Pines, FL.In April of 2013 Frank was appointed to the Board of Directors of ArtsUnited, Inc. which is a collaborative of gay and lesbian artists formed to showcase the work of the LGBT community in South Florida. During his tenure on the board he curated several group exhibits at the LGBT Visitor Center in Miami Beach. He now resides and works in Baltimore, Maryland.
