While I have always enjoyed drawing, I never took an art class until I was an adult.   In the 1980's I began with watercolor. I joined California Watercolor Association in 1989, and attained signature membership in 1996.  I have taken classes at Diablo ValleyCollege, and Civic Arts, Walnut Creek, in drawing, figure drawing, watercolor and painting. For a time I have worked in abstract acrylics and collage.  In  2003 I began studying plein-air oil painting with Pam Glover. I loved this medium and painting outside. I try to capture the essence of the scenes which inspire me.   Classes and workshops are ongoing as I increase my skills.  They include: Tom Hughes, Robert Chapla, Randall Stauss, Greg Kondos, Warren Dreher, Paul Kratter, Kathleen Dunphy,  Phillipe Gandiol, Tom Soltesz, Nikki Basch Davis, Jerrold Turner and Randall Sexton.  I am truly grateful for finding this passion in art and being a part of a vast community of artists who enrich my life.
I belong to:
