Ewa G. Banas is of Polish origin. She received her degrees in pharmacy and medical technology from the School of Medicine in Krakow, Poland, and she worked there in the biomedical field. In Krakow, as a student amateur artist, she received awards for her posters about World War II.
Ewa moved to the USA in 1992. She graduated from St. Cloud State University in 1996, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree with a biomedical major. Then she pursued a career in biomedical sciences.
