An example of fine art by Elizabeth Lewis Scott

The Artist Says:

I draw and paint what I know and what I see.
It is my voice, a documentation of how I experience our world, at least my corner of it…
     nothing fancy, mostly simple situations.
It is what I hope to give…
     a view,
         a feeling,
            a moment recorded,
a piece of myself I hope to share,
and maybe, like sharing a smile, I can make someone's day a little brighter,
be it a warm and cozy moment, an inspiration, a fond memory, or a spot of peace.

Insistence on underlying detail, coupled with the warmth that accompanies years of experience with her subjects, is Elizabeth Lewis Scott's trademark.  She has been drawing and painting animals since her childhood. She earned a B.A. degree in Studio Arts from Principia College, Elsah, Illinois, and was trained in the atelier/classic method.  Liz creates work for galleries and on commission and has published limited edition prints and fine art cards under the trade name of Cat’s Paw Studio.
