 Dorian Lee Remine, an award-winning artist has lived in New York's Hudson Valley since early childhood. She draws on the beauty of the area for much of the inspiration for her art. She has been commisioned to paint many historic buildings and landmarks. In addition she has worked as an illustrator for Concord Litho and her work is published in Salesian Missions Books. She has won numerous awards for her watercolors and has had several solo shows in the region. Dorian's Buttermilk Falls (2016) and Winter Barn (2017) appeared in the "Artists of America" calendars.
Dorian's work was reviewed and she was accepted as a member of the American Artists Professional League. Its headquarters are at the renowned Salmagundi Club on 5th Ave. NY, NY. This national society has been devoted to the cause of fine arts in America for the past 75 years. In 2001 Dorian was the recipient of the Medal Of Honor their highest award in the watermedia category at their Grand National Competition which had juried entries from across the US. The painting was entitled "Cape May Porch".
Her work is in private and corporate collections including Mt. St. Mary College Gallery Newburgh, NY and Quarters 100 at the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY.
    " I thoroughly enjoy painting. I appreciate the beauty of God's world and His splendor in simplicity. Scenes such as a swallowtail lilting over roses, a back porch bathed in sunlight, flowing streams and rural winter landscapes inspire me."
