My journey into art started late in life, and I have had a lot of catching up to do.  I am still doing so.  I have taken art lessons from the Boca Raton Museum of Art in Boca Raton FL., Ocala Museum of Art in Ocala FL., The Red Swan Art Shop in Ocala FL., an art class for college seniors at Lincoln Memorial University, Harrogate TN., Flagler County Art League, Palm Coast FL., and attended a Tom Jones watercolor work shop  in Palm Coast FL.  My college degree is from Barry University, Miami Fl.  My degree is in Business Management.
Prior to my adventure into the amazing world of art, I was in the banking industry for 25 years plus a co-owner of a small perfume factory.
Oil and watercolor are my choice of mediums.  My painting technique is painterly with overtones of impressionism.  The goal of my paintings is to tell a story or evoke an emotion.
I do not limit myself to any specific genre.  I do whatever speaks to me at the moment, whether it be figurative, landscape, still life, seascape, animals.  It has to be a subject that chooses me.  God in His infinite wisdom has created this beautiful world we live in and all living creatures. So why limit yourself to just one.
Most of my painting this past year has been En Plein Air.  Since I grew up in the country with a lot of acreage comprised of mountains, hills, streams and farmland, painting outside, even with all the challenges, is perfect for me.  I usually paint small paintings outside as reference for larger ones in the studio, however, from time to time I do complete large size paintings on location.
Why do I paint?  Because I love the joy and privilege of being able to.
