Biography

Diane Odachowski is an award winning artist who has resided in the Charleston area for over 22 years.  Her works are held in private collections across the country and abroad.
Growing up in Westfield, NJ, a suburb of New York City, she was greatly influenced by her grandfather who was a famous international fashion designer. Diane  developed a fond appreciation for drawing at an early age and formalized her love of art by earning a degree from the DuCret School of the Arts in New Jersey.  Her marriage to her restauranteur husband that same year, had her moving to various cities where she continued her art education. She studied at the Art Instituted in Atlanta, The University of Cincinnati, The University of Buffalo, and the NJ School of Visual Art.

They were awarded the Preservation Society’s Carolopolis Award for restoration in 1999.  She furthered her schooling with art classes at the College of Charleston and the Historic Gibbes Art Center. Diane has also been influenced through workshops and classes with many renowned artists. Diane has been a  juried and award- winning artist in the famous Piccolo Spoleto  outdoor artist show for the  thirteen years.
Diane ran her own downtown Charleston SC Art Gallery for thirteen years and now devotes her time exclusively [...]
