An example of fine art by Diane Feuerstein

I have always been passionate about art since childhood.  My mother was an art teacher that had a scholarship to study at the Chicago Art Institute as a teenager.  I was selected as a junior high school student among all San Diego schools to attend a special art class during the summer.  Also, was selected to do a paint demonstration for the public at the San Diego Art Museum.
After graduating from UCLA, I spend a summer studying art history and life drawing in Guadalajara.
Over the years, I have painted with different instructors at the Atheneum in La Jolla and have studied art history at a local College.  I have done extensive figure painting and portraiture in oils.  Also have done a lot of still life's in oils.
I have been going with my family to Maui for over 35 years and have loved painting plein aire.  The natural beauty of ocean and greenery with the brilliant light brings out magnificent colors and shadows.  My love of the outdoors and the beauty around makes this a very exciting place to paint.  I recently started doing night painting on warm tropical nights and love catching the beauty and joy of life around me.
