Photo of Diane English

Born in Massachusetts, Diane moved to Maine at an early age, where her love of nature took root. Constantly drawing as a child, she won a state wide art contest at the age of eight. Diane is mostly self-taught, but has studied in workshops with Skip Lawrence, Joe Miller, Eric Wiegardt, Quang Ho, John Poon, and Kathie Odom among others. Diane's art has been exhibited in numerous juried shows, galleries, and art museums. Her work hangs in collections in the United States and internationally. Diane's paintings have won many awards, including the Winsor & Newton Award and Best in Show.

Currently, Diane lives in Carolina Beach, a small island off the coast of North Carolina, with her husband, Bob, and their two Tibetan Spaniels, Mickey and Lotus. [...]
