Biography

Diana’s career as a painter evolved from her travels as a performing artist.  Bali, Malaysia, and Singapore, Italy and Africa, Paris and London are among the transformative places she has experienced.  The visual images collected from around the globe, have spilled onto the gold and gemstone paintings Diana creates.

Gold comes from outer space!  It connects us to the beginning of time.  Where do we come from is a continuing question in Diana’s life and work.  Diana developed a unique way of achieving a sculptural dimension to her art. Gold, Lapis Lazuli, and Bidford Black are the materials Diana uses most often. Her artwork incorporates cut gemstones.  Diana creates her own paints from ground pigments, acrylic polymer, and water.  Using earth, stone, and metal, takes us back to the beginning of visual language and connects us to our roots.

The spiritual significance of Gold is undeniable.  Diana has a commitment to using gold in her work for the message it delivers.  Gold combined with lapis lazuli conveys the sacred sensibility she feels compelled to express.

Diana’s artwork is in collections from London to Las Vegas. She was given the honor of having an artwork hang in the collection of the U.S .Embassy in Singapore.
