     Dennis Dame was born in 1965, in Van Nuys, California but has been an Oregonian since moving to Myrtle Creek, Or. at age five. With an accomplished artist for a father, (Jerry Dame Sr.), as well as a creative mother, Dennis's childhood was always surrounded by art and creativity. “Growing up around art and painting was a blessing that I did not fully appreciate until I left home. I sometimes took my unique surroundings for granted. For as long as I can remember, art has been a part of our family - a way of life.” It wasn’t until Dennis left home to pursue a career in aviation that the “artist” bug really bit.  “I began selling a few aviation themed paintings to help pay my way through flight school; I was having a ball doing it and became addicted!”
     For over twenty years now, Dennis has continued on his artistic journey which has included everything from commercial illustration, graphic design, photo-retouch (before Photoshop - yes he's that old) airbrushed illustrations and murals, portraiture and fine art oil painting. “Some folks are a little surprised to find that I enjoy painting now even more than when I first began, but, it’s the chance to make a new discovery with every painting that I love, and that never seems to [...]
