Biography
Wood is a known for her vibrant colorful paintings, working in both oil and acrylic. Her recent exhibitions include the International Artist Show in Christophe Harbour, St. Kitts, and the Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance. Ms. Wood's painting "Cuban Pleasures" depicting an expresso maker, coffee flowers, and a good Cuban cigar was chosen for the September 2019 cover of the Jacksonville Folio Magazine. She was also a contributing artist for the "Cove in Bloom Mural Project" on Walnut Street in Green Cove Springs, Florida along with her fellow art guild members. Ms. Wood is the former President of The Jacksonville Artist's Guild and the former owner of First Street Gallery, Neptune Beach, Florida. Ms. Wood is especially proud that one the people she personally admires, chef Vivian Howard of the award winning PBS show, " A Chef's Life" has her heirloom tomato painting in her kitchen above her stove.
