Artist Denise Delaney

An example of fine art by Denise Delaney

Photo of Denise Delaney

Denise Delaney, an oil painter specializing in landscapes, prefers painting "en plein aire". Painting outdoors, on the spot enables the artist to capture light and atmosphere, true colors as seen in nature, and the depth of perception as seen by the naked eye. Her paintings have the feeling of being "in the moment". Denise loves to spend many hours a week being outdoors in the fantastic Rocky Mountains. While spending many years in the financial field in New York and Boston, Denise studied photography extensively. Through the photographic medium she was able to fine tune how she sees the world. Upon leaving finance in 2000, she picked up the paint brush, studying at the Museum School of Fine Arts in Boston and the Art Student's League in New York, as well by private instruction and various art workshops across the country. After spending most of her life on the east coast, she moved west to the Colorado Rocky Mountains in 2002. Her art work is in various private collections both in Colorado and on the east coast. Her work can be viewed on this website as well as at her Cordillera, Colorado studio. .
