Comments:
Robert Genn: "..precise, organized and well-thought-out compositions... blessed with good drawing, colour wisdom, aerial perspective and a strong sense of light and shade."

Lexington Herald Leader: "[the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce Headquarters]  largest meeting space — the AT&T Teleconference Room — has a 10-painting suite by Lexington artist Dan McGrath, depicting scenes of commerce across the state."

"Art critic Brian Sherwin, Editor of The Art Edge, commented on Dan's plein air paintings. Sherwin said, "... Dan has an eye for beautiful scenes. He is able to capture the sense of joy one can experience simply by observing the raw beauty of nature . I'm glad that he shares these moments with us. Each painting serves as a reminder of how precious it is to find open spaces in this day and age -- his body of work challenges viewers to think about land conservation."
