An example of fine art by Dana Dabagia

Photo of Dana Dabagia

Dana Dabagia started painting in caseins in 1970 and switched to watercolor in 1990, painting mainly portrait commissions of children and florals and in 2000, began her odyssey with oils, studying and painting in the traditional manner of the Old Masters.Living in Northern Indiana just a stone's throw from Lake Michigan, she is busy taking portrait commissions of children and adults, getting to know her clients and striving to paint them in the traditional manner while revealing not just an image, but also their inner beauty, their souls.Painting magnificent flowers is also something she truly enjoys. She paints them with an eye to detail always exploring their exquisite beauty. Still lifes with fruits and vegetables are always on her easel, chasing the lights and darks, the nuances of color as she brings them to life. And beachscapes are a recent addition to her oeuvre, observing beach life and the changing seasons of the lake. Dana's work is currently on exhibit at The Framing Station in Michigan City, IN.
